Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. I have so many things to be thankful for....My family, my husband, my children...our health...the gospel. We are blessed with many wonderful things, sometimes I forget about all the good in our lives and focus on the bad. This time of year, helps me get things back into perspective. It is good to remember and express gratitude for the many things that we have been given.

This year we went to my Mom's house for dinner and ate way too much as usual. Then came Black Friday!!! My favorite shopping day of the year. It is the only time my sisters, Mom and sister in laws ever go shopping all together, and then out to breakfast. 3 am does not come fast enough when you are waiting to hit those sales. What a blast.

RaShay's 9th Bday

Well, My little Angel just turned 9 years old. It seems like yesterday that she was my little "Dolly" in my arms. She looked like a little cabbage patch doll with those cubby little cheeks. I called her Dolly more than RaShay...she started to not respond to it, only to Dolly. I decided that I better change that. :) She is still my little Dolly.

We had her bday party on Tues, where the whole family came. She got a fish tank with 2 gold fish in it along with clothes and some toys too. She can't wait to go pick out more fish for the tank. She is getting so tall, for being in third grade, she is the tallest in her class, and she is as tall as some 6th graders. Happy Birthday RaShay!

Get off the Roads!!!

Today is the day that Kyler has been looking so forward to. He starts Drivers Ed classes after school. He has had his learner permit since February, but can't get his full license until he takes the class. SSoooooo get of the sidewalks!!!! I'm joking. Ky is a great driver, he has been driving me around for months and I am very confident having him in the drivers seat.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!! Well the day finally came, I think RaShay was so excited to dress up today, she was awake by 6:15 this morning. She was dressing as a dead bride and she couldn't wait to get all done up. Gabe was so interested in what she was doing, he wanted make up on too. He is going to be a Ninja tonight and loves kicking and running in circles in his costume.

I'm off to RaShay's school for her Costume parade, will post more later.

Fall is Here

Fall is here, and I love the leaves turning colors and falling to the ground. The kids are growing and keeping me busy. Gabe has definitely hit his terrible two's, giving me a run for my money. His favorite thing to do, is to pretend his is a monster and growl at you. It makes me laugh!!! Kyler is still seeing Shelby, they are cute together, but sure makes me feel old having my son have a girl friend. Brody and Colton finished football. This year wasn't the best year, they had a real jerk for a coach. Both of them are getting so tall they almost are taller than me. They love it...I hate it. :) RaShay is growing like a weed too. She is excited for Halloween, and is going to be dressed as a dead bride. She is so smart she is reading on a 6th grade level, but she is only in 3rd grade. Gabe is gonna be my little Ninja for Halloween. He has the 'Trick or Treat" down good, and the Ninja kick too, but being such a little candy addict, its gonna be really fun tomorrow night.

My First Blog

Well I decided that since I do these kinds of things for work all the time, I should really get a family Blog going. So here it goes!

We are doing well...the kids just started back to school. Brandy just got her Medical Assisting Certificate, and is taking a break from school, but she finally figured out what she wants to do for a living...she wants to be a Forensic Pathologist (like the T.V. show "Bones"). Kyler just started High School and is a sophomore at the new Salem Hills High School. He was very excited to start school, but I think he was really excited to go see all the girls. Not sure if I am ready for this stage of his life. Brody and Colton just started the 8th grade. They both are growing up so fast. Their football season just started so it will keep them busy for a little while. I'll post pictures as they come. Their first football game is tomorrow. RaShay is in the 3rd grade even if she is tall enough to be in 5th. She is as smart as they come not to mention beautiful. Then there is little Gabe...hitting his terrible two's a little early. He is spoiled rotten and loves to ride on the go-cart with anyone who will take him.

We are expecting a new grand baby too, Brittany is expecting her fourth little angel in February. I'll update you more on that when we hear more. Landon (5), Ryan (3) and Faith (18 months) are all darling little sweetheart.

We lost our little Princess a couple weeks ago (our dog), she got old and died. It was a very sad time in our home. Last weekend we got a new addition...."Bandit" she is an English Pointer, black and white spotted. Full of life and mischief....but a welcomed addition.
